I wasn’t sure if our winter nature table would take form this year with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays lurking, but it did. Once we found a cozy nook that we could all see, we set about collecting objects from inside and out — needle felted winter gnomes, pinecones, snowmen, moss, rocks, candleholders and a paper folded star. The nature table was a good excuse to make a small quilt to set the landscape, so I did.
Although the cold and snowflakes have been flirting with us, spring is literally around the corner in our neck of the woods. Next to come — a spring table decked with signs of new life… But, for now, there is still time to enjoy the bits of winter that remain.
The star instructions came from The Magic Onions. There is so much glorious inspiration here.
